Welcome

If you are new to our site, this blog is sort of a hodge podge of our ministry and family life, and whatever else God lays on my heart to share. The Home Page above will link you to our Sufficient Grace Ministries page. You can read more about the 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and the outreaches of this ministry whose mission is to offer comfort and hope to grieving parents. The Blog button brings you to the page you are currently reading, featuring a variety of subjects...some ministry updates, some family news, and some biblically-based encouragement. The Walking With You page is a place for bereaved parents who have lost a baby or child to find encouragement and hope. It is an online support group created so that families would know they are not walking this path alone. On the Dreams of You Shop page, you can learn more about the products and services we offer, place an order, or sponsor a family. The Encouraging Women blog is a work in progress. There, we hope to offer biblically-based encouragement to all women. The Resource page has been newly updated with a list of resources that are helpful for grieving parents. Our blogroll is also located on this page. Thank you so much for visiting our site. Blessings to you...

Memorial Day

This morning at the Memorial Day Parade and ceremony, this verse was read:

For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
~Psalm 61:3

James watching the parade. The flags had just passed and his eyes were on the veterans.

James and Daddy

James and Grandpa

Remembering those who gave their lives for our freedom...remembering those who have served and sacrificed...remembering with a thankful heart.

Amen! To every man and women who gave their life for this great country! May you always be remembered not only today but always - every time I put my uniform on I think of you!

Kelly, I loved the pictures, and the reminder to remember the veterns who fought for our freedoms.

My husband is very patriotic. He grew up in a small town and he was taught how to honor the elderly, and how to show respect to God and Country. He always takes off his hat and puts his hand over his heart when the flag goes by. And he stands at attention when he hears the Star Spangled Banner etc. He knows proper flag care. He served in the Army. His dad was a WWII vet. It goes on and on. And I admire him so much.

I loved seeing your youngest son with his hand over his heart as the flag went by,...so many kids don't understand this respectful act anymore.

Well anyway, I will close for now.

Have a good week.
