Welcome

If you are new to our site, this blog is sort of a hodge podge of our ministry and family life, and whatever else God lays on my heart to share. The Home Page above will link you to our Sufficient Grace Ministries page. You can read more about the 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and the outreaches of this ministry whose mission is to offer comfort and hope to grieving parents. The Blog button brings you to the page you are currently reading, featuring a variety of subjects...some ministry updates, some family news, and some biblically-based encouragement. The Walking With You page is a place for bereaved parents who have lost a baby or child to find encouragement and hope. It is an online support group created so that families would know they are not walking this path alone. On the Dreams of You Shop page, you can learn more about the products and services we offer, place an order, or sponsor a family. The Encouraging Women blog is a work in progress. There, we hope to offer biblically-based encouragement to all women. The Resource page has been newly updated with a list of resources that are helpful for grieving parents. Our blogroll is also located on this page. Thank you so much for visiting our site. Blessings to you...

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms with children here as well as our kiddos waiting for us in Heaven. As my first mothers day without my son, it's definitely been bittersweet! Thank you for your ministry!

Hi Kelly!
I was in Deshler on Mother's Day, too, and wondered what you were doing. Mom wanted to see if the tulips came up at Grandma Ileen's resting place, so we all trekked out to Woodlawn where I was a little surprised to still see the bare spot in the grass where we buried Ella last year. It was just such a stark, bleak, in-your-face reminder. Later in the day, though, I started reading "Heaven is for Real" about Colton Burpo, the little boy Sheila Walsh mentioned at WOF. If you haven't read it, you would love it. I think the picture you have shared of your sweet children in heaven is right from what I read last night. It's so comforting! Colton talks about sitting in Jesus' lap, talking with a grandfather who died long before he was born, and meeting the sister his mother miscarried when she was about 8 weeks pregnant. Colton said she looked about the age of the sister he knew on earth, who was six at the time. You must read it! Anyway ... Happy Mother's Day to the Momma who helps more moms than any other Momma I know! Love you!

I hope you had a fantastic Mother's Day. Emily was Confirmed and joined the church yesterday morning. It was fantastic. I couldn't have been prouder. She wrote her own statement of faith and read it to the whole church. I'll get a soft copy and send it to you. :)

Love,
Mary
