Welcome

If you are new to our site, this blog is sort of a hodge podge of our ministry and family life, and whatever else God lays on my heart to share. The Home Page above will link you to our Sufficient Grace Ministries page. You can read more about the 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and the outreaches of this ministry whose mission is to offer comfort and hope to grieving parents. The Blog button brings you to the page you are currently reading, featuring a variety of subjects...some ministry updates, some family news, and some biblically-based encouragement. The Walking With You page is a place for bereaved parents who have lost a baby or child to find encouragement and hope. It is an online support group created so that families would know they are not walking this path alone. On the Dreams of You Shop page, you can learn more about the products and services we offer, place an order, or sponsor a family. The Encouraging Women blog is a work in progress. There, we hope to offer biblically-based encouragement to all women. The Resource page has been newly updated with a list of resources that are helpful for grieving parents. Our blogroll is also located on this page. Thank you so much for visiting our site. Blessings to you...

That was fun...so much fun, in fact that I thought we'd just keep on giving! Remember my mommy-guilt? Well, I was looking for an ornament today for sweet Thomas and I found the sweetest one at the Hallmark store. I just fell in love with it. So, I purchased one for Thomas... and one for you!

(Please disregard the golf ball in the picture. Those pesky golf balls are everywhere! I think I even have at least one in my purse!)

It's hard to see in the picture, but, on the base of the candle above where the baby is laying, it says: Sleep in Heavenly Peace. I thought it was just right!

(The light from the candle blurred the picture a little when I hung it on the tree. But, it's beautiful "in real life".)
I only found a little boy ornament today, so this giveaway is just for mamas who have a baby boy in heaven. To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment here letting me know you'd like one. (Sorry about that. A baby girl ornament would have been lovely too!)

I love it! I just lost my Nathan 8 weeks ago. I haven't bought an ornament for him yet, still looking for the right one. This is beautiful. Don't know if I can enter this because I did not sign up for a giveaway. But thought I would at least comment on how beautiful it is.

Best Regards,
KC

I'm going to my hallmark tomorrow to see if I can find one for a girl...it is so pretty. Good luck.

To KC- Sorry for your loss

It is a beautiful ornament for Baby Thomas, and I would love to have one for my Baby Grady. But I would really love for KC to have a greater chance of being picked, especially since her loss was so recent. Can you enter my comment for her, so she has two chances to win?

Love,
Tonya

What a beautiful ornament.. I think it's amazing how God reveals those just when they're needed.. Feeling relieved of some of that "mommy guilt" today?

Oh, and, I WON, YAY! Thank you for setting this up like you did.. I'll continue visiting others who link up, I found some lovely new blogs through this WWY.

The book, Someday Heaven, looks great. I have "Heaven for Kids" by Randy Alcorn but it's above my almost 4 year old, and this will also be easier for my 8 year old to read! THANK YOU.

Congrats ladies!

I was looking at that same ornament at Hallmark two days ago! I was looking for a couple of gifts for our church Christmas party that I was going to. Anyway, I saw it, but didn't get it because I wasn't shopping for myself....or...... maybe I'm to much of a "tight wad."LOL It is a very precious ornament. I'm sure Thomas loves it:)

Oh....I have been struggling to find an ornament, also. I think I will look and see if Hallmark has one of these for girls. We buy one for each of our other children as a tradition each Christmas and I had already picked one out for Rebekah. After we "lost" her (she's not really lost, we know where she is:)), I dreaded getting the Hallmark ornaments for the kids...but they were looking forward to it.

I also saw an idea in one of your older post of dried flowers in a glass ornament. We have some dried flowers from her service and I may do this idea if I can't find an ornament.
